Impatto sociale

Social impact

L’impact assessment prevede tre fasi:

The impact assessment process, which guides investment operations from initial screening through to exit, aims to better target the investment strategy and make investments as effective as possible in terms of impact generation.

The impact assessment is a three-step process:

  • ex-ante evaluation for the selection of target enterprises through an Integrated Rating assessment, which allows to classify the opportunities based on the potential impact generation. The rating model consists of 20 indicators that describe some objective (scalability, sustainability, innovativeness, accessibility, legal forms, etc.) and subjective characteristics of the target enterprise (team, purpose, scope).
  • in-itinere assessment of social performance based on the definition of an impact model and specific targets to be reached for each target enterprise. The indicators (KPIs) are designed taking into account the social objectives laid down in the investment contract.
  • ex-post evaluation of social performance through the calculation of Social Impact Multiples at individual enterprise level. The Multiple is the ratio between the value that is actually achieved and the target value agreed at the time of the investment. The social performance of the portfolio is then calculated by aggregating the Social Impact Multiples of the subsidiaries weighted on the basis of the capital invested.
